The Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors was established by the state legislature in 1928. The Board's mission is to safeguard life, health, and property, and to promote the public welfare by providing a complete and thorough registration process for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors, ensuring that each is properly qualified to practice in the state of Mississippi. The Board also regulates the practice of engineering and surveying in the state through investigation and disciplinary authority granted by Title 73, Chapter 13 of the Mississippi Code.
- Open Meeting Announcements
- The next two Board meetings will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 and Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Board's office in Jackson, Mississippi; both meetings begin at 8:30 A.M.
- 2014 license renewals have concluded.
- Mississippi state law allows for licensure renewal of individual licenses (PE & PS) and firm licenses (COA) through June 30 each year with payment of the renewal fee and late fees. As of July 1, a license can no longer be renewed. The person or firm must apply for Relicensure. The Relicensure application for an individual is here on our webpage under "Relicensure". A firm whose COA has lapsed must submit a new COA application (found here on our website under "Certificates of Authority") and check the box on the first page indicating "Relicensure."
